"This area is the heart of Istanbul nightlife, meaning if you are looking for a quiet room to sleep at 9-10 pm or you have young kids this is not a ideal place, but if you'd like to sleep or go about your business during the day and have fantastic time at night this is the spot, you can go for a nice long walk by the port right at the end of the street which is a gated outdoor mall and you also have tons of options for food/drinks and music, what I love the most about this area, other than being so central and accessible by walking/taxi/tram and ferries, is very safe at night and even though there are many bars and a lot of alcohol being served but you don't see any rowdy, crazy drunk people like some other parts of the town."
